The Buying Decision — Building Filler vs Site Workhorse. The SLR 1000 answers the question "how do I cover one building without building RF infrastructure": its 5-inch rack unit with integrated duplexer needs no external filtering or ventilation, and the built-in charger gives 8 hours of backup on the same footprint — priced for a hotel wing, a hospital floor, a campus core or an underground parking deck. The DR 3000 answers a different question: "how do I light up a remote or rural single site with real coverage" — 40W UHF / 25W VHF wall-mount at 100% duty cycle, IP Site Connect-ready so it joins the same multi-site network domain as an SLR 5500 head-end. Same MOTOTRBO ecosystem, deliberately different power classes: inside a building buy the SLR 1000; at the far end of the network buy the DR 3000. A hybrid site standard is common: DR 3000 for the valley/mountain site, SLR 1000 for the admin building.
