DAP and DDP explained, and what is checked before dispatch.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means we pay the freight, the customs clearance and the import duties, and you receive the goods at your door with nothing further to pay. DAP (Delivered At Place) means we pay the freight and deliver to your address, but you are the importer of record and you pay the import duties and taxes on arrival. We will state which term applies on your quotation.
Every order is screened for export-control and end-use restrictions before it ships. Some destinations and some end uses cannot be supplied; if that applies to your order we will tell you before payment rather than after.
If you choose DAP or arrange your own freight, the duties, taxes and customs formalities in your country are yours to complete. We provide accurate commercial invoices with the correct HS codes so the entry can be processed.
